On Monday, July 9, Memphis Light, Gas and Water's bill payment processing vendor experienced a world-wide server issue that temporarily disabled our online payment system. The system was restored within a few hours and is back online.

MLGW prepares for cold weather by tracking the weather, having additional crews on standby, and ensuring vehicles are equipped with necessary tools. Tree trimming crews cleared over 1600 miles in 2024 to help reduce electric outages caused by falling limbs.
TVA and MLGW issue Energy Conservation Alert

For most of our system, customers are enjoying normal pressure and water availability. I anticipate that by the morning all our customers should be restored to normal pressures.
Precautionary Boil Water Advisory Lifted - mlgw.com
Dec 29, 2022 · A precautionary boil water advisory was issued following recent freezing temperatures caused water main breaks and private property leaks that caused low water pressure in MLGW’s water system. The advisory has been lifted after analytical results taken from the water system met all state and federal water quality standards.

As a precautionary measure we are asking MLGW water customers to boil water before using for consumption. We are also asking customers to curtail water usage and to repair any ruptured lines in their homes or businesses.
