Sep 19, 2009 · Typically, the cause is in the chain itself. Most of the '06 and later models I've seen that have skipped time had a kinked chain with binding links. The tensioner doesn't have enough spring force to push the kinks out on the back side run, leaving the chain with less real tension than it should have.

Sep 25, 2018 · I know of a 2007 and 2010 that jumps when the chain gets to about 80hrs and replacing the chain sorts it out. Yeah that’s what I was reading too, but as I said, the chain has been replaced, all OEM stuff by the way. Maybe try a manual tensioner. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Alright.

Jun 22, 2020 · Sounds like a loose plug cap. Not uncommon on the YZ's. Some guys safety wire them in place. Pull all connections and clean them, then dielectric grease them. If the battery ground is not really good, you will get odd running issues.
