The toxic nature of League of Legends is legendary to the point that Honest Game Trailers made a trailer about them entitled "League of Assholes." So far, their MO seems to be very close to what Blizzard does - take a popular genre and make your own, polished version. Then rely on cross promotion and esports to build it up. LoL is basically a take on a standalone Dota game. LoR tackles CCGs.
