Jun 21, 2024 · If Tesla would sell a Model 3 with a Performance rear drive unit, completely uncorked, and NO stability control, sign me up ;-) Tire wear is greater in the AWD cars. Somehow the RWD cars are so well balanced between rear regeneration and front turning scrub that I just stopped rotating tires on the RWD M3s.

I've been in BMW 2/3 series, and the hard plastic door panels say you're wrong. The Tesla Model 3 has NICE Material Touch characteristics. The seats too are just much more comfortable than the harder German seats. The Model 3 just drives better vs. gas 2/3. I have the 2023 Model 3 RWD. Then there's the Y against the X3.

Here's a 3 pack failed out of warranty: Failed Model 3 HV Battery - Out of Warranty - DIY. I would pass unless one is willing to budget for pack and DU replacement(s) + other major repairs.
