I wonder if these top studios still run like they did in the 90's. They'd charge insane rates, like 10k a day as part of the record company/loan shark model. The record company would sign an act, give them an advance, then tell them where to record, with said ridiculous rates. Win/win for everyone involved except the artists.

They’re pricy (around $40 a piece), so I started with my favorite Marley record (Exodus), and I was FLOORED.

Apr 3, 2022 · Way back in 1983 Abbey Road Studios opened its doors for a brief time for a Beatles multimedia exhibit which included a slide show of rare photos and the playing of some master tapes. I happened to be in London on vacation at the time and recall that getting tickets was easy. It was an incredible experience.
