Redoubt is a steep-sided stratovolcano located at the northeast end of the Aleutian volcanic arc. It is potentially one of the most dangerous volcanoes in Alaska. Built above the Aleutian subduction zone over the last 890,000 years, Redoubt is now heavily glaciated and boasts an ice-filled summit crater. Its last eruption was in 2009.
