Nov 18, 2021 · Although the 335 has a block inside it, depending on materials a Les Paul (particularly with a maple cap and no weight relief) will have more sustain. The straight sounds have somewhat different frequency responses, but that is probably lost via all the things in the signal chain which affect that tone.

I put one on my ES-335, and it's AWESOME - clearer notes, sweeter mids and highs, way better sustain, MUCH better built w/ way tighter tolerances - it's a great bridge.

Mar 7, 2017 · Thanks for the replies. I have noticed that the M80 (Non-Vertigo) seems to hold the neck at a steeper angle and there seems to be some air between the headstock and the back of the M80 case.

Aug 19, 2013 · I've got a 2012 Les Paul Standard and a 2011 ES339 (both Gibson). Both amazing guitars, but pick up wise, I think I prefer the Classic 57s on the 339. I'd say the 339 handles cleans better and is easier to play (its really light), and the Les Paul is better at full out rock. Both amazing.

Jul 23, 2016 · Tele, I did some audio clips a long while ago where, after adjusting the gain and EQ a bit on the amp, I made my Tele bridge pickup sound exactly like my Les Paul Special. With the right set of pickups, a Tele is far more versatile, but LP Specials are still awesome, that's why I still have mine and it ain't going anywhere.
