Jan 22, 2014 · Albuquerque Ambulance. I was wondering what their candidate exam feels like? I have been brushing up on what "knowledge" I have for Basics in our state. I really do not know what to expect. Would anyone have guidance to offer about this exam? Highly competitive. I heard only 12/50 applicants were hired last time, half of the 12 being Paramedics.

Apr 15, 2019 · You have AMR working the counties to the south, and Superior Ambulance works 911 throughout the state, but only handles IFT in ABQ. The ABQ and BernCo area is a two tiered response system, with both AAS and fire responding to medical calls although AFD and BCFD can only transport in extreme cases, i.e. severe trauma and we're minutes out.

Jun 26, 2011 · The other local services are Superior (911 in Torrance, San Miguel, and Chavez Counties, and IFT in BernCo), Living Cross Ambulance (service I work for at the moment, does 911 in ValCo, just south of ABQ), and the FDs for all the cities and counties around.

Jan 20, 2016 · Fire, is ETREMELY competitive to get on with. Thousands apply with them and never get on. I worked for Southwest Ambulance (Rural Metro and now AMR owned) and it wasn't the greatest experience. They are mostly 911 and cover mostly Glendale, Sun City, Goodyear, Mesa, and some other outlying cities. They pay 11.06 an hour.

May 16, 2013 · NM is odd. AMR will take new medics and does 911 for Las Cruces and Alamogordo. Albuquerque Ambulance will but has an extensive testing process that eventually means Fire Paramedic Sidekick. Nuts to that.
