Sep 8, 2018 · Our Dacia Duster is spec'd for either a 5w30 ACEA C4, 5W30 ACEA C3 or 5w40 ACEA C3 oil. We bought the car on 3,500miles at 1 year old. The supplying dealer used a 5w30 C4 oil. The oil was being used at a rate of 1 litre every 1000miles. At 5,000miles I got suspicious that the oil filter didn't get changed at the supplying dealers service.

Jan 13, 2008 · My personal favorite 15W-40 is a syn blend called Schaeffers. A long life oil, shear resistant, low wear numbers, good fuel economy. Hard to find locally, but easy to order and free shipping for orders over $300. For non-synthetic oil, I would buy on price/quantity.

I'm not wanting change because I think Redline is not an excellent oil, but more for cost savings. I'm paying $10.15 per quart ($110.00 per change) for the Redline and I would like to use a lesser priced but good Full Synthetic Oil.

Aug 7, 2023 · AMS Oil (non signature) in 5w or 15w is ~$70 for a 2.5gallon jug +$16/yr pc ($156 per year) Delo 400 XSP 5w-40 is $99 for 3x1gallon jugs and then $50 for the 2.5G 15w40... ($150 year) Mobile 1 doesn’t seem to offer one synthetic product line with 5w-40 and 15w-40. So I could run Delvac Extreme 15w-40 and TDT or ESP in 5w-40.

Nov 27, 2004 · FWIW some fleets use 15W-40 in new pickup and car engines and they don't wear out early. The company I work for had an old F-150 pickup that went to over 230,000 miles on 15W-40 with no issues before they sold it. Truck still ran like new and didn't use any oil. I use the 15W-40 with confidence in my small engines.

Aug 16, 2016 · Curious where I can find specs for Cummins Onamax 15w-40 Oil? I have a Cummins Onan Quiet Diesel 6,000 generator which calls for CJ-4 15w-40 and have been using Mobil Delvac 15w-40. Curious if the Onamax oil is worth the extra money? I change oil annually (per Onan)...not planning on extending OCI. Any info you have would be great. Thanks to ...
