Feb 3, 2012 · Thanks for all of the input. I always square to the eave and the metal is 12 inch wide standing seam. I would like to know if anyone recommends doing a square up on the roof when doing the bid to see if I should order longer panels than necessary to accomodate for the out of square condition.

They are designed to take a beating with a ll of the tricks always rubbing against the felt, which is not much different from shingles. The soles are real grippy and made to stick to the felt. You can get a good pair for around $60.

May 28, 2010 · all metal pole barns without rigid foam directly under the metal roofing, and/or very good ventilation will condense inside and really cause a problem making it appear like it's leaking when really it's condensing and dripping off the screw points. my roofer just built a shop, metal pole barn at his location and they used the 1" foam underneath.
