Six puppies found abandoned in a West Virginia mine shaft are now safe in Westmoreland County. "I received a call from Paw Patrol. They're down in Wyoming County, West Virginia. It's like an Appalachian area on top of the mountain.

After three small puppies were found abandoned in a dumpster in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, an animal rescue is searching for any information about the person responsible.

The council described the dumping of the cross-breed puppies as "heartless". The authority said the puppies had been taken to a vet by its animal care officers and then to a rescue centre. New homes have since been found for them all.

Sharyn Fisher, the owner of Fisher’s Furry Friends of PA in Greensburg, told Channel 11 this is the second set of puppies they’ve saved from Wyoming County, West Virginia.
