With the ReliaQuest Bowl against Alabama a seeming afterthought -- most didn't anticipate a second-string Michigan beating a first-string Crimson Tide -- most of the attention last week was on the early-enrollees.

The true-freshman Michigan running back spent most of 2024 buried on the depth chart, behind the more experienced, veteran backs Donovan Edwards and Kalel Mullings, and fighting for scraps with sophomore Ben Hall. But with Edwards and Mullings sitting out the Wolverines’ ReliaQuest Bowl matchup vs. Alabama, he knew it was his turn.
