Apple has just released its first previews of iOS 26 ahead of its official launch but not everyone can get it.
Back in 2024, we described how the then-new iOS 18 enabled you to tint your homescreen icons, allowing you to tweak the look of your iPhone’s display. Now, with Apple’s introduction of its Liquid Glass design for iOS 26, you can make your icons completely clear ( assuming you’re a fan of the new invisible look).
Select "send message," for example, and the Spotlight Search bar fills with a Mad Libs-esque series of blanks for key details like the message you want to send and the person you want to send it to. Type to fill the details in, hit Tab to switch between fields, and hit Enter when you're ready to send the message.

Apple announced in June that the release of iOS 26 would first appear as developer betas as usual, with the first public beta set for July. When it reaches general release it will be on the 2025 releases, iPhone 17 series, as well the iPhone 16 series and plenty of much earlier models.
