ATLANTA -- Georgia Republican Mike Collins said Monday that he will join the field challenging Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff in the state the GOP has named as their top target to add a Senate seat in 2026.

Georgia Congressman Mike Collins from Jackson entered the race, becoming the second Peach State Republican in Congress to announce a bid. He joins Savannah-area Congressman Buddy Carter, and those two may not be the last to declare a run on the GOP side.
