Netflix has renewed the hit romantic comedy starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody for a second season. The pickup comes with a change at the helm.

Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria announced the renewal at Bloomberg’s Screentime conference Thursday. Season two of Nobody Wants This will also have new showrunners, with Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan ( Girls) taking over from Jack Burditt. Series creator Erin Foster remains an executive producer and writer on the show.

The hit rom-com Netflix series has been renewed for a second season, along with a showrunner shake-up. “ Girls ” alums Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan will be the new co-showrunners for Season 2; the series marks Konner and Kaplan’s first collaboration since their iconic HBO show, created by Lena Dunham.

According to Netflix, Nobody Wants This was renewed for Season 2, and it has plans to release it on the 2025 TV schedule. In response, the show’s creator and executive producer Erin Foster said:

According to Variety, “The renewal news was announced by Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria at the Bloomberg Screentime conference in Los Angeles.” Starring Adam Brody and Kristen Bell, this rom-com series is about an agnostic podcast host and a rabbi off of a recent breakup who fall in love despite opposition from friends and family.
