Seven people were killed and others seriously wounded in an Israeli strike on the upper floor of Al-Wafaa hospital in the centre of Gaza city on Sunday, the Palestinian civil defence said.

Gaza's civil defence agency said an air strike hit a hospital Sunday, killing at least seven people, while Israel said it had targeted militants at the no longer functioning facility.

Five journalists have been killed in an overnight Israeli strike that hit their vehicle in Gaza, a hospital and their news outlet said in a statement on Thursday.
