October's full moon on Thursday, often called the Hunter's Moon, will be the biggest and brightest supermoon of the year.

The hunter's moon – the first full moon of fall – will rise Thursday, Oct. 17, in the eastern sky around sunset. As an added bonus, this month's full moon will also be a supermoon.

With the next full moon close to Halloween, there’s also a chance it will have an orange hue, like a glowing jack-o’-lantern.

Next week, the first full moon since the Harvest Moon will fill the sky for three days. This moon, known as the “Hunter’s Moon” will be the third, and brightest, of four consecutive super moons, according to NASA.
