The Fantastic Four's third-act showdown with Galactus and the Silver Surfer in First Steps has some strikingly familiar beats.
Galactus is played in Fantastic Four: First Steps by British actor Ralph Ineson. The star has come a long way since playing David Brent's obnoxious friend Chris Finch in The Office (UK), with acclaimed turns in Game of Thrones, Chernobyl and Robert Eggers' The Witch bringing him to Hollywood's attention.
On July 26 at 10:00 a.m. ET, you can pre-order the Fantastic Four: First Steps Galactus LED popcorn bucket from AMC, Regal, and Cinemark for $79.95.
Working with then-unknown filmmaker Robert Eggers on 'The Witch' supercharged the actor's career, eventually allowing him to play one of the biggest characters in the Marvel mythos.
Galactus is one of the biggest baddies in the entire canon of Marvel Comics, but Fantastic Four: First Steps makes an odd creative choice with the character.
Galactus is aided by his shiny, chrome herald, the Silver Surfer. Previously seen onscreen in the 2007 movie, played by Doug Jones and voiced by Laurence Fishburne, is the male version of the character, Norrin Radd. Now, Ozark star Garner is playing the first-ever live-action version of Shalla-Bal.
First Steps" hit theaters, Silver Surfer was a viral hit. Julia Garner spills on her inspirations in becoming Shalla-Bal.
First Steps star Ralph Ineson has shared some new behind-the-scenes photos, revealing our first look at the practical costume he donned as the MCU's terrifying Galactus. Check it out!
The best thing about First Steps is the aesthetic. It’s far and away my favorite part of this film, and that’s a problem because as much as I do enjoy a solid retrofuturistic aesthetic, it’s not enough to make a mediocre movie worth watching. This is all style over substance.
First Steps,' Galactus is presented much like he is in the comics. He could also be the key to understanding the next phase of the Marvel multiverse.
