Cal heads back to the East Coast for a Saturday afternoon game at Pittsburgh, which is undefeated and ranked No. 22. The Bears will try to refocus after their disheartening, 39-38 loss to then-No. 8 Miami when Cal held a 35-10 lead in the third quarter.

For the first time since 2022, No. 22 Pitt has found its way into the national rankings and it has done so by doing things its own way as the Panthers have developed their identity and seem to get stronger each week.

Pitt has been a quietly great surprise so far with clutch wins over Cincinnati, West Virginia, and North Carolina with the offense finding its groove. It survived the tough early portion and now gets four of the next five games at home - including Clemson - before going to Louisville.
