When it comes to ending the war in Ukraine, President Donald Trump’s statements and social media posts have become meaningless.

It has become a test of endurance, demanding every last reserve of strength, costing hundreds of thousands of lives.

The Trump administration is proposing an arrangement that would allow Iran to continue enriching uranium at low levels while the United States and other countries work out a more detailed plan intended to block Iran’s path to a nuclear weapon but give it access to fuel for new nuclear power plants.

President Trump on Wednesday signed a travel ban on 12 countries, primarily in Africa and the Middle East, reviving an effort from his first term to prevent large numbers of immigrants and visitors from entering the United States.

Russia has proposed another attempt at peace negotiations with Ukraine on Monday in Istanbul, but both sides remain firmly entrenched in positions likely to prolong the war.

The White House's efforts to foster an agreement between Russia and Ukraine are also expected to continue this week, with a direct meeting expected on Monday in Turkey.
