Indian stock market is expected to see a positive opening on Tuesday, January 28, as indicated by Gift Nifty. However, the market may witness volatility amid weak global cues as the focus shifts to the US Fed policy outcome on Wednesday.

A long bull candle was formed on the daily chart, which indicates a sign of strength in the upside bounce. The immediate resistance of 23,000-23,100 has been broken on the upside and Nifty closed higher.

BSE Sensex was trading 368.91 points or 0.49 per cent higher at 75,735.08. Nifty was trading at 22,923.60, down 94.45 points or 0.41 per cent. The gains were led by banking names.
