The Oakland County Board of Commissioners approved Tuesday night, by a 14-7 vote, a new commission district map for 2022-2031, which decreases the number of districts from 21 to 19.

Democrats currently hold a narrow majority, 11-10, under the current district map. The new county commission district map reduces the number of county districts from 21 to 19.

Oakland County voters approved two school bond ballot questions totaling over $600. Voters in the Walled Lake Consolidated Schools district passed a $250 million 30-year improvement bond.
