A community highlight, just days before Christmas, is the annual Ladysmith Fire/Rescue department’s Santa Parade.

To that end, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Montgomery Aerie #1040 held the annual Community Children’s Christmas Party on Sunday, Dec. 22. The event was at the Valley PreK-8 School in Smithers.

We’re in the middle of January blahs; a cold, quiet time of the year when we can look back on memories made during the 2024 holiday season. Some of those memories relate to the legend of Santa Claus.
