The first person to set foot on Mars is likely to be a woman, NASA has revealed. Jim Bridenstine, administrator at NASA, revealed the exciting plans on the radio show ‘Science Friday’ this week.

This means the first Martian explorers ... just be a starting point for Mars adventurers and colonists. The more thick and heavy shielding there is between a person and the vacuum, the better.
