Sean Murphy has enjoyed a major bounce-back season at the plate, apparently discouraging the Atlanta Braves from trading him ahead of the July 31 deadline.

Although Albies’ name came up in trade rumors, he’s now set to finish 2025 in Atlanta—leaving his future to be decided in the offseason. His seven-year, $35 million contract signed in 2019 includes club options for 2026 (with a $4 million buyout, effectively a $3 million commitment) and for 2027 (no buyout).
