Abbott Elementary's third season (shortened due to last year's WGA strike) ended on a cliffhanger as teachers Janine Teagues (Quinta Brunson) and Gregory Eddie (Tyler James Williams) finally kissed after her end-of-school party.

Season 4 of Abbott Elementary will debut on October 9 at 9:30 p.m. ET on ABC. New episodes will air every Wednesday. The season will consist of 22 episodes. Viewers can also stream the series on Hulu.

The Gang is making a trip to Abbott Elementary. The ABC series will crossover with FX’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia for Season 4. Rob McElhenney, Danny Devito and Charlie Day will appear in the episode, as confirmed by a photo posted on social media Thursday.

As usual, the overworked staff will have to battle on against underfunding, an uncaring school district and a tone-deaf principal, while the Season 4 trailer below reveals that they'll also have to overcome a ringworm outbreak that threatens to infect the whole building.
