It is not abnormal for a rookie running back picked in the fourth round or later in the NFL draft to make an immediate positive impact. Bucky Irving is over 1,000 rushing yards and counting to go with seven scores for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Buffalo’s Josh Allen, the favorite to win the MVP, has had a fantastic season, but in recent years the Offensive Player of the Year has been going to the best non-quarterback unless a quarterback has had an extraordinary year. Allen has been great, but not that great.
