Federal employees who monitor and forecast the nation’s weather and climate have been hit with a wave of mass firings.

The warning was for Inland Pender, Coastal Pender, Inland New Hanover, Coastal New Hanover, Inland Brunswick and Coastal Brunswick as well as Robeson, Bladen and Columbus counties.

On Thursday at 8:36 a.m. a wind advisory was issued by the NWS Hanford CA in effect until 10 p.m. The advisory is for Tehachapi, Grapevine, Frazier Mountain Communities and Mojave Desert Slopes.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration released its spring weather outlook this week. The outlook predicts warmer temperatures throughout the South and East Coast and colder temperatures in the Northwest.
