Tropical Storm Erin continues to churn across the Atlantic Ocean. The storm is expected to strengthen in the coming days.

The lifeguard deputy captain at Ogunquit Beach said a rescue on Monday involving a group of children was preventable.

Tropical Storm Erin is still moving quickly westward and is forecast to become a hurricane in a few days over the central tropical Atlantic, the NHC said.
