A special guest cut the ribbon at 7:30 a.m. Friday and people rolled in, led by whiskey enthusiasts who had been camping outside for three days to get their hands on low-priced special-edition bottles.

With the cutting of a yellow ribbon before hundreds of shoppers, Costco's newest warehouse store opened for business in Napa just before 8 a.m. Friday.

For those who've never shopped at a Costco before, or even for those who are just casual Costco shoppers, it might be a little strange to hear that people have been camping outside the new location in Napa for close to a week.

Costco opened up a new location in the North Bay Friday morning. The wholesale retailer's newest warehouse is located at 280 Riversound Way in Napa. According to the Press Democrat, people lined up outside the warehouse as early as Tuesday to be one of the first customers to get inside.
