GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- The 38-year-old Gary man fatally shot by police Wednesday has been identified. Antonio McMichaels died from a gunshot wound the Lake County, Indiana Coroner's Office said Thursday. He lived in the same block, where the shooting took place.

A man holding a 1-year-old boy while pointing a gun at officers was shot and killed during a hostage situation in Indiana, according to the Gary Police Department and the Lake County Sheriff’s Department.
