Florida State announced the cancellation of all home athletic events through Sunday following an active shooter situation on campus on Thursday.

Georgia Tech was scheduled to play Florida State in softball over the weekend in Tallahassee. Georgia Tech Associate AD for Communications Mike Flynn confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that the team was on their way to Tallahassee on Thursday afternoon.

Florida State has canceled all athletics events on campus through Sunday, April 20, following an active school shooting situation that unfolded around noon on Thursday. There were multiple events impacted.
