MIAMI GARDENS — Miami Dolphins cornerback Jack Jones isn’t claiming his troubles are just a misunderstanding. He’s not blaming anyone else. He understands why so many NFL teams passed on him, and how he went from being a starter last year to nearly being out of football this year.

The Miami Dolphins' offensive line is going to look dramatically different this season. Miami bid farewell to former Pro Bowl left tackle Terron Armstead, replaced both starting guards, and also did not pursue re-signing veteran offensive linemen Kendall Lamm and Robert Jones.

If Jaelan Phillips is correct, that honor isn’t even close to what’s in store for Robinson. “I truly feel like Chop is going to be one of the best players in the league very soon,” Phillips said.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Dolphins are hosting free agent tight end Noah Fant. Fant was cut by the Seattle Seahawks eight days ago after three seasons with the club.

▪ Quarterback Quinn Ewers is clearly beginning to grasp the Dolphins offense and develop chemistry with his back-end-of-the-roster teammates. The rookie has begun to make throws to elicit a head nod, impressing his teammates. It will be interesting to see his progression as he continues to gain comfort in this offense.

It is customary for the defense to be ahead of the offense in any NFL training camp. The same can probably be said about the Dolphins at this point. Even with a bunch of question marks in the secondary.

The Miami Dolphins may not be done adding to their roster after a busy flurry of moves to open the first week of 2025 training camp. Miami welcomed players back to the team facility last Tuesday and promptly agreed to terms with veteran offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill,

The Dolphins, who suddenly have more than $13 million in cap space after reworking Minkah Fitzpatrick’s contract over the weekend, are hosting Noah Fant, the top remaining free agent tight end, on a visit at team headquarters. Fant’s visit, first reported by Jordan Schultz, will be his third, following previous stops in Cincinnati and New Orleans.
