The Virginia Beach Police Department has released information on memorial services for officers Cameron Girvin and Christopher Reese.

Officer Christopher Reese, 30, had worked for the Virginia Beach Police Department for about three years. Reese and Officer, Cameron Girvin, 25, were killed Friday night during a confrontation after a traffic stop, authorities said.

Reese, 30, was taken to Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, where he died a short time later surrounded by family, friends, and fellow officers, Neudigate said. Reese became a Virginia Beach officer in 2022, after having served three years as a deputy sheriff for the city.
