The fourth film in the Paramount Pictures franchise has grossed a series-best $422 million in theaters and generated more than $180 million in home entertainment rentals and purchases.

Following the tremendous box office success of Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Paramount has announced that a fourth film, Sonic the Hedgehog 4, is coming to theaters on March 19, 2027.

Paramount has officially revealed a release date for the next Sonic the Hedgehog film, which is coming in March 2027.

We already knew it was coming, thanks to Paramount's announcement at the end of last year, but the Sonic the Hedgehog 4 movie now has a release date. It is, however, still a fair way out - with Sonic's next big screen undertaking currently not due until 2027.

A release date has been set for the fourth Sonic the Hedgehog film which will introduce some more iconic characters from the video game franchise.

March 19th, 2027, according to Variety. Right around the release of the very successful Sonic the Hedgehog 3 last December, news hit that Sonic the Hedgehog 4 was in the works, but at the time, the movie only had a spring 2027 release window.

The news comes in the wake of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 becoming the highest installment in the franchise with $218.8M domestic, $422.3M worldwide. The entire SEGA branded feature franchise counts $1.1 billion at the global box office.
