Vinyl fans packed the sidewalk outside Rock N’ Roll Land Saturday morning, some camping out overnight, all hoping to score rare and exclusive releases for Record Store Day. Doors opened at 7 a.m., but the line started forming a day earlier.

It’ll be like Christmas morning for music lovers with Record Store Day 2025. Now in its 18th year, this is very early for the vinyl celebration to fall on the calendar, as it typically takes place on the third Saturday in April. Due to that day coinciding with bank holidays in other countries, it got bumped up.

For those unfamiliar, Record Store Day celebrates both the ongoing resurgence of vinyl and the independent record stores that carry them, with hundreds of new and limited items landing on shelves on one special day in April.
