The Oklahoma State University is mourning the loss of one of it's own in what is now considered one of the most deadliest U.S. aviation accidents in history.

An Oklahoma State University graduate was among the 67 people killed when a plane and an Army helicopter collided Wednesday night near Washington, D.C. The Oklahoma State University Alumni Association posted on social media that OSU alumna and former university employee Lindsey (Carter) Fields was killed in the collision.

Several people involved in the crash that killed 67 people in Washington D.C. have ties to Oklahoma in some way.
