The No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish defeated the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs, 23-10, in the Sugar Bowl on Thursday. Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard threw for 90 yards with a touchdown and then rushed for another 80 yards to lead the way.

As of Wednesday afternoon, however, Georgia and Notre Dame are still set to square off in the playoff quarterfinals, though the Caesars Superdome is only a handful of blocks from where the crime occurred.
