ORLANDO, Fla. — Walt Disney World announced Thursday that Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at Magic Kingdom will close for major renovations this summer, with plans to reopen next year.

The changes for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin attraction will include new ride vehicles with video monitors for scoring updates and handheld blasters that fire color-coordinated beams.
