A court case has nudged a transit agency closer to its goal to grab a prime San Jose property needed for a BART station.

A powerful, atmospheric river-driven storm is hitting California's coast today, bringing with it heavy rain, strong winds and feet of Sierra snow. The storm is expected to persist through Friday.
