The Philadelphia Eagles have Saquon Barkley to thank for a remarkable turnaround. After a disappointing first-round playoff exit last year, the team has turned into a juggernaut with an electric offense.

Buffalo’s Josh Allen, the favorite to win the MVP, has had a fantastic season, but in recent years the Offensive Player of the Year has been going to the best non-quarterback unless a quarterback has had an extraordinary year. Allen has been great, but not that great.

Saquon Barkley has said he wasn't scared of making history. Chasing Eric Dickerson's record was something he wanted to pursue, and something his teammates wanted to help him achieve.  Barkley let the decision come down to the Eagles.
