Bird flu has been detected in a Georgia commercial poultry flock for the first time since a countrywide outbreak in 2022.

Since December, the Dept. of Agriculture has confirmed eight outbreaks in Michigan. On Jan. 6, the CDC reported the first human death from bird flu.
