After a record-breaking $30 million sale, Palm Beach County is witnessing a steady influx of ultra-wealthy buyers willing to wait for exactly what they want—and pay top dollar for it.

Dozens of tiny towns, settlements really, that once dotted Palm Beach County have disappeared through the years, buried under floods, shattered by hurricanes or made obsolete by the changing economics of farming. Many were absorbed by larger adjacent towns.

There have been many store closing announcements in 2025. Here's a list of retailers closing stores in and outside of County.

More than 250 new shade trees are now standing in public parks around Palm Beach County.
