The Utah Jazz aren't keen on laying down and taking a loss, and they proved just that against Portland on Monday night. Despite fielding a starting five that boasted zero players above the age of twenty-four, the Jazz fell to the Trail Blazers 112-114 -- a difference of only two points.

The Utah Jazz are riding a high from grounding the Houston Rockets on Saturday night. In a surprising twist, the sputtering Jazz were able to reel in Houston's high-flying Jalen Green and Amen Thompson as Keyonte George scored a game-high 30 points and ignited Will Hardy's game plan.

In Utah’s victory in the season series back on Dec. 6, the Jazz dominated the paint battle, 76-42. However, in the one Portland victory this season on Dec. 26, the Trail Blazers reversed that outcome and outscored the Jazz 50-36 in the paint.
