The Dallas Cowboys have named Nick Sorensen their new special teams coordinator, as reported by ESPN's Todd Archer. This is the latest addition to head coach Brian Schottenheimer's staff. Sorensen joins the Cowboys following his tenure as defensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers.

Sorensen spent the past three seasons in San Francisco, serving as the 49ers’ defensive coordinator during the 2024 campaign.

The Dallas Cowboys hired Brian Schottenheimer as their next head coach. Schootenheimer will be tasked with putting together a staff to help the Cowboys reach the playoffs again.

The Cowboys, having moved on from head coach Mike McCarthy while also allowing incumbent special-teams coordinator "Bones'' Fassel to take the same job with the Tennessee Titans, are planning to bring 49ers ex Nick Sorensen to The Star.
