Netflix and Adam Sandler gave fans a holiday surprise, dropping the first teaser for 'Happy Gilmore 2' early on Christmas Day

Adam Sandler stars as Happy Gilmore, the hockey player reinvented as a goofy golf star, in the first special teaser released by Netflix on Wednesday.

The film will premiere on Netflix in 2025. Adam Sandler wished fans a merry Christmas with a happy new Happy Gilmore 2 teaser, which features a snippet of Travis Kelce ‘s cameo in the highly anticipated sequel.

Dec. 25 (UPI) -- Football great Travis Kelce made a surprise appearance in Wednesday's Happy Gilmore 2 trailer. "Happy Chanukah! Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! And Happy Gilmore to all!!!!!!" Sandler posted on social media .

When Happy Gilmore 2 was announced, we learned that Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce would also play a role in the film. And while we didn’t know what character exactly Kelce would be playing, we didn’t have to wait long to get a first glimpse at Kelce in the movie.

Netflix released a teaser for the upcoming movie on Wednesday. It’s the sequel to the 1996 hit movie. New Jersey residents will be looking to see if their hometown is featured — some filming locations included Verona, Kearny and Hackettstown.
