Somewhat lost in Jaden Schwartz’s hat trick and a 4-2 win for the Kraken over the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday night was what happened in the third period.

Jaden Schwartz recorded his fifth career hat trick and the Seattle Kraken beat the Los Angeles Kings 4-2 for their third win in five games.

The Seattle Kraken are closer to last place in the NHL than they are to a playoff spot and should be amongst the biggest sellers at this year's trade deadline.

The Kraken managed to keep pace Thursday night against the best in the West, but an unlucky bounce in the closing minute allowed Winnipeg to escape with a 2-1 win.
