The Bruins are officially conducting a fire sale as this season goes down the drain. According to multiple reports, after previously trading Trent Frederic and Justin Brazeau, the Bruins have been busy selling off huge pieces at the close of the 3 p.

The Bruins traded veteran forward Charlie Coyle to the Colorado Avalanche just before Friday’s 3 p.m. NHL trade deadline, according to The Athletic’s Pierre LeBrun. The Bruins also sent a 2026 fifth-round pick to Colorado in exchange for Casey Mittelstadt,

"The human side of me was crushed," Jeremy Swayman said as the Bruins tried to pick up the post-deadline pieces.

The Boston Bruins made several trades leading up to March 7's trade deadline. Forward Charlie Coyle was among the notable Bruins on the move, as he was dealt to the Colorado Avalanche.

The Boston Bruins traded away Charlie Coyle on Friday, sending the center to Colorado for two players and a second-round pick.

Elias Lindholm, who lost both of his linemates (Coyle and Marchand) will play with Jakub Lauko, who returned to the Bruins in the Justin Brazeau trade, and newcomer Marat Khusnutsdinov. Lauko will wear the same 94 he did in his previous stint in Boston. Khusnutdinov is wearing 92.

Both just traded, longtime Boston teammates Charlie Coyle and Brandon Carlo sat by each other on the plane ride to Colorado.
