Patrick Kluivert is unlikely to experience much culture shock when he starts his time as head coach of Indonesia.

Netherlands and Barcelona great Patrick Kluivert said he aims to take football-mad Indonesia to their first World Cup since independence, as he was officially unveiled as their new coach.

Just two days after the shock dismissal of Shin Tae-Yong, Netherlands legend Patrick Kluivert has been announced as the new coach of Indonesia. PSSI, Indonesian football's governing body, confirmed the appointment on Wednesday afternoon, with Kluivert signing an initial two-year contract -- through to 2027 -- that has an extension option.

Upon his arrival, PSSI will introduce Kluivert to the public on Sunday, January 12. The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) announced on its website and social media on Wednesday that Patrick Kluivert will replace Shin Tae-yong as coach of the Indonesian national team.
