Today, the world commemorates the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, perhaps the most notorious of Nazi concentration and extermination camps. For many, Auschwitz is a symbol of the absolute horror of the Holocaust and attendant atrocities of World War II.

Monday is Holocaust Remembrance Day, marking 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi concentration camp. In Massachusetts, two Holocaust survivors said their experience has never left them.
